The Spanish Peaks Community Foundation (SPCF) invites you to be a part of Walsenburg History. Volunteer at the Fox Theatre in Walsenburg. Continue a culture of fun, fellowship and community service. You will be helping us keep the theatre alive and help us raise funds for local charities through our donations program.

Volunteer Orientation: Sunday, September 13 at 12:30 PM

The Fox Theatre depends on volunteers to operate. Our volunteers are committed community members and their time is limited and valuable. In order to host a movie, we need five to six volunteers. Volunteering at the Fox Theatre requires one weekend (Fri-Sun) a month and begins with a six month commitment. Volunteers have input on which movies are shown at the theatre and receive passes to watch movies for free.

Volunteering at the Fox Theatre offers Families, School Clubs, Groups of Friends, Church Groups and Community Nonprofits an opportunity to do something fun together while serving your community.

We’re also in need of volunteers with special skills such as woodworking, plumbing, electrical and production (lights, audio, set design).

The Spanish Peaks Community Foundation (SPCF) has been established to raise money in an endowment fund, the investment growth of which can be distributed county-wide for projects and programs that improve Huerfano county, as well as help non-profit community groups who work on projects concerning youth, health, economic development, housing, and education.

For more information on the Fox Theatre please call Mike Peters (719) 890-4292 or mpeters@spanishpeakscf.org.

The SPCF greatly appreciates all financial donations, no matter how small. Every dollar donated helps to empower our communities through the promotion and financing of projects and programs that improve Huerfano county, as well as help non-profit community groups who work on projects concerning youth, health, economic development, housing, and education.
